Power,
Status, and Influence
My
colleague, Cameron Anderson (UC-Berkeley) are attempting to
organize a community of scholars interested in the study of
power, status, and influence. We focus primarily on the individual
level of analysis, but we are also interested in how macro-level
variables can affect individual behavior. We invite scholars from
all academic disciplines who share our research interests to join
an online forum, which we hope to construct in the coming months.
Its primary purpose is to publicize and share recent and ongoing
research by members of our community and to provide a venue in
which individuals begin discussion of common interests. We hope
this colloquy will enrich our scholarship and that of our colleagues.
